Saskia Olde Wolbers was the first artist to create work at the Van Gogh House under its current owners in 2014. Her extensive research into the house’s history culminated in a sound installation, produced in collaboration with Artangel, that led visitors through the building in its previous state of disrepair.
Weaving together facts, half-truths, beliefs, and conceits, Olde Wolbers uses Van Gogh as a lens to present alternative narratives and existences embedded within 87 Hackford Road over its 200 year lifespan.
This specific still from the film 'Yes, these Eyes are the Windows' (20min HD) is a model of one of the rooms in the Van Gogh House.
