Go！Go！Go！by Gou Jingli

Gou Jingli adopts different perspectives of life to create. She paints the migratory adventures of animals, intergenerational dialogues among birds... In this part of her work, she constantly switches between a first-person and an omniscient perspective, constantly asking questions and thinking about the next step, while questioning herself about the relationship between human life and other forms of life. Gou also starts from her own perspective, focusing her experience on a single question, climbing a mountain, observing a tree, studying a leaf... Such experiences are the process of establishing connections between lives. She magnifies and slows down this process, presenting it in a concrete form in her latest series of works.

About the Artist

Gou Jingli (b.1998) from Leshan, Sichuan Province, graduated with a master's degree from the Oil Painting Department of Chengdu Fine Arts Institute. Painting is the primary medium of Gou Jingli’s works  and views the process of creation as a dialogue with the outside world by  setting aside personal experiences and engaging in dialogue with natural language and actions. Gou currently resides in Chengdu.
