Working on paper whilst caring for her mother, this work is some of the first watercolour drawings Kate Bright has made since their early twenties. Watching the day through the window and marking the changes in the greenhouse and the garden, these small works are precious memories of time together.

About the Artist
Bright studied at Camberwell School of Art and Goldsmiths College and is currently an Associate Professor in Fine Art at the Slade, University College of London. The artist has had solo exhibitions at the Centro Internacional de Arte de Salamanca, Spain; The New Art Gallery Walsall, UK; Vitamin Contemporary Art, Turin, Italy; the Laing Art Gallery, Newcastle, UK and Van Gogh House London UK, Bright was notably included in the British Art Show in 1990, a major traveling survey exhibition showcasing contemporary art in the UK. Recipient of the Lorne Award and the Sidney Noland centenary award in 2017, she is currently represented by Locks Gallery, US.
