About the Artist
Ellie is a designer/maker living in South East London. She works out of her studio in Deptford where she makes wheel-thrown tableware. Ellie completed her BA in Product and Furniture Design at Kingston School of Art with first class honours in 2021. However just before final year she did an Erasmus year on the Danish island of Bornholm, and this is where her focus moved purely towards ceramics. It was also there that she was an apprentice at Hjorths Fabrik in Bornholm learning production pottery on a kickwheel in a traditional ceramics workshop. Ellie now lecturers part-time in 3D Design on the Foundation course at Kingston School of Art.
