Over Spring 2021 Jo Volley created a timeline charting the specific colours used by Van Gogh across his lifetime. Materials, collated through a close reading of the artist's letters and associated texts, were applied directly to the walls of the Van Gogh House.
In addition to her small editions, Jo Volley has made a beautiful folding publication that reveals information on each of the pigments that make up the timeline painted on our walls. Each copy contains 2 postcards. A special project, there are only 12 in stock from an edition of 100.
Text by Dr Ruth Siddall.
Design and layout by Lesley Sharpe, published by Slade Press.
